COP28 Side-Event Investors’ Role in Transitioning to a Climate-Aligned Food System

The FAIRR Initiative is hosting a side event in Dubai during COP28. The session will take place in the Hub Culture Climate Pavilion, Uptown Dubai, and will be titled ‘Investors’ role in transitioning to a climate-aligned food system’.

This event will focus on how investors can influence the largest companies in the food sector through stewardship practices and by advocating for a more enabling environment for the transition to net zero by macro engagement with policymakers and regulators. We are planning for the speakers to include a mix of investors members of FAIRR, and policymakers. We hope that this event will provide a unique opportunity for investors, policymakers, international organizations and NGOs to exchange best practices and forge new collaborations.

  • Oshni Arachchi, Head of Responsible Investment, Danske Bank
